Wine Blogging Wednesday #25: Champagne!

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006

Last month I discovered a monthly wine tasting that a group of bloggers participate in called Wine Blogging Wednesdays or WBW for short. They take turns picking a theme and reporting on the results. Their 2 year anniversary tasting last month focused on Loire Valley Whites - I was disappointed to learn that I missed it by only two days. Looking over the list of previous WBW’s shows that they have had some creative and fun themes: Wacky Names Wines, Obscure Red Varietals, Red New Zealand Wines. Well this month their theme is Champagnes! What a nice coincidence. Frederic and I will definitely have to crack open a couple of the bottles of Andre Beaufort with friends and post the results of the tasting here and on the Becks and Posh website. Too bad those damned WineTaggers.com developpers weren’t faster getting their site up, then I could post my results there! ;)

Look for the results of the tasting on September 13th. If you have a blog and want to participate you would be more than welcome. You can get more information here.

It would be so fun to be able to collect all of the results of each tasting and make a monthly WBW tag cloud. I will have to prod Frederic to see about including this functionality as early as possible. How fun!
