Le Nouveau Blanc de Saint-Emilion
This is what we woke up to this morning in Saint-Emilion. I guess winter has truly arrived. It has been an unusually warm winter in Saint-Emilion, similar to the rest of Europe and I guess it’s finally cooling off. It does normally snow here but it does not normally snow this much all at once. Thank goodness these vines had not yet been pruned so there was no worry of frost damage. 2007 is starting off to be an interesting vintage.
On s’est reveillé sous la neige à Saint-Emilion ce matin ! L’hiver est finalement bel et bien arrivé ici. Heureusement ces vignes n’étaient pas encore taillées donc il n’y avait pas de danger de dommage par le gel. Il sera interessant de suivre ce que le millésime 2007 va nous apporter.
